Antelope Island (Shoshoni: Pa’ri-bi-na, “Elk breeding place”),with an area of 109 km2, is the largest of 10 islands in the Great Salt Lake in Utah. The island lies in the SE portion of the lake, near Salt Lake City and Davis County, and becomes a peninsula when the lake is at extremely low levels. It's protected as Antelope Island State Park.
