The Arc de Triomphe is one of Paris's most iconic monuments, located at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. Commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806 to honor the French army's victories, the monument was completed in 1836. The massive structure, standing at 50 meters tall, features intricate carvings and sculptures depicting various battles and significant moments in French history. Beneath it lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, commemorating those who died in World War I. The Arc de Triomphe is not only a symbol of French national pride but also offers visitors a panoramic view of Paris from its rooftop.
