John Bridge - Puritan Monument (StreetView)
A Bronze statue of John Bridge an English puritan who arrived in Massachusetts in 1632. He was a leading figure in the early development of Cambridge, MA, helping to establish the first public school in 1635, being a Selectman between 1635 and 1652 and a Deacon of the Church between 1636 and 1658.

The statue was gifted to the city by the Bridge family and was installed in Cambridge Common being on 20th September 1882. It was later dedicated on 15th October 1884.
