The Lion and Swan Hotel on West Street in Congleton began its life as a Coaching Inn on the route between London and Manchester.
The Black and White front of the Hotel dates to the seventeenth century and is little changed from that time. The remainder of the building is constructed from brick and mainly dated from the nineteenth century.
The hotel has 21 rooms available for guests and there are a number of function rooms and a public bar on the ground floor. This makes the hotel suitable for a range of events including business meetings and conferences, social gatherings, weddings and local society meetings.
