The mast of the battleship USS Oregon at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, in Portland, Oregon. On 4 July 1976, a time capsule was sealed in the base of the memorial. The time capsule is scheduled to be opened 5 July 2076.

The Live picture was taken during the Rose Festival, where there is a nice parade with floats covered with flowers, and a "fun park" on the waterfront. They line Waterfront Park with amusement rides, and the mass of people grind the beautiful lawn into mud. It takes exactly one year for the lawn to recover. Then they do it again.
