On Monday 29th August 2022, Dennis WA2USA/P and Brad WA6MM two radio amateurs licensed in the USA reached the summit of Mount Sheridan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 59 contacts in total working on the 40, 30, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mount Sheridan is 4190 metres (13747 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
