On Wednesday 24th August 2022, Inaki EB2GKK/P a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Peña de Alano and activated this summit on the radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 15 contacts in total working on the 30 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Peña de Alano is 2164 metres (7100 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
