Rathlin Island (Irish Gaelic: Reachlainn) off the coast of County Antrim is the northernmost point of Northern Ireland.

It is the only offshore island of Northern Ireland which is inhabited and it is claimed that it was the first inhabited Irish island with a population settling there between 6000 and 5000 BC.

In October 2023, the feral ferret eradication phase of the Rathlin Acting for Tomorrow (LIFT Raft) project commenced. It is hope that this eradication will boost the recovery of wildlife in Northern Ireland's Largest seabird colony.
