Ryvangen Barracks pistol shooting range

This is the remaining pistol shooting range of Ryvangen Barracks which stood here until 1950 when Ryvangen Memorial Ground was erected.

The first executions by the Germans took place here until the new one not far away was made. People in the surrounding house have often told stories of seeing German trucks with condemned arriving from Vestre Prison but in the 1980's it was confirmed that executions took place here.
