On Saturday 2nd July 2022 Kenneth K6HPX a radio amateur from Tucson, AZ reached the summit of Spitz Hill and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 12 contacts in total working on the 60 and 30 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Spitz Hill is 2350 metres (7710 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
