Stockport Railway Station - December 2023

On Saturday 23rd December 2023 the Manchester Evening News on its website reported the views of a local councillor who had slammed the standard of Stockport Railway Station.

Councillor Wynne said as an entrance to the town the railway station was a disgrace with dirty platforms, damaged walls in the underpass, a broken main entrance and lifts out of order.

Avanti West Coast, the company that operates the railway station, in a statement said that it would look to address the concerns raised and that it welcomed the feedback.
