TV Reporter & Cameraman Murdered Live on Air (26 AUG 2015)

On the morning of 26 AUG 2015, WDBJ reporter, Alison Parker and her cameraman, Adam Ward, were shot dead by disgruntled former employee of the station, Vester Lee Flanagan II (who goes by the name Bryce Williams) while Parker was interviewing a woman named Vicki Gardner, who was also shot, but survived. The shooting played out live on air. Williams recorded the shooting from his point of view and later posted the video on Twitter, prior to leading local police on a chase ending with a failed suicide attempt which left him in critical condition.

On Williams' Twitter account, he accused Parker of making racist comments against him and that his complaint to the news station was ignored.
