At this intersection, between via Fani and via Stresa a commando of Birgate Rosse March 16 1978 kidnapped Aldo Moro (former PM and president of DC political party) and killed 5 members of the escort.
Mr. Moro was killed May 9 1978 and his body was found in Via Caetani.
The five men killed were: Domenico Ricci, Oreste Leonardi, Raffaele Jozzino, Giulio Rivera, and Francesco Zizzi.
