Shortly after 20:30 on Sunday 26th June 2022 a gas explosion in Dulwich Road in the Kingstanding area of Birmingham destroyed one house killing a woman and leaving a man severely injured and in a life-threatening condition.
It was reported that neighbours had risked their own lives by running into the burning houses at the scene to save those trapped inside.
The blast caused collateral damage over a wide area affecting several properties and vehicles parked on Dulwich Road.
