Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway

Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (Birds Eye)
This awkwardly-named 1/2 mile clay oval track opened in 1979, replacing the Heidelberg Raceway, which closed in 1975 due to urban sprawl. The main event of the track's annual schedule is the Pittsburgher 100 Super Late Model race. Several classes of stock cars race here on Saturday nights.

The speedway's website claims the track measures 0.625 (5/8) mile, but Google Maps handy distance measurement tool confirms the 1/2 mile lap distance.
