On Tuesday 26th July 2022 Pat K7GUD a radio amateur from Victor, ID reached the summit of Bald Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 8 contacts in total working on the 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Bald Mountain is 3640 metres (11942 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
