This auto racing facility closed in 2004 and has since been torn down. It featured a 1/2 mile clay oval, a 1/8 mile drag strip, mud bogs, and a short dirt oval for karts. In addition to weekly stock car races, it hosted regional and national touring series events.
It started off with just a 1/4 mile paved track when it opened in 1968. The drag strip was built soon afterwards. In 1973, the 1/2 mile track replaced the smaller paved oval. It previously went by the names of Gator Speedway and New Jacksonville Speedway.
The 66 acres of land was sold for $3.2 million to residential builders. The birds eye view coverage of the land shows the grandstands being torn down.
