Hagley Wood is an area of woodland near Hagley, Worcestershire, England. In April 1943, four local boys found the skeletal remains of a woman inside a large wych elm in the wood. Despite a police investigation, the woman has never been identified. However, there have been several theories about her identity. Some believe that she was a Nazi spy in the Clent Hills during WWII. Others believe a Third Reich cell killed her. The police theorise that she could have been a prostitute killed by a punter. The current location of her skeleton and autopsy report is unknown.
