Sure Isle of Man, one of the two mobile phone service providers on the island, has announced that it wants to install mobile phone network equipment in the tower of St. Bridget's Church in Bride to improve mobile coverage in the North of the Island. Sure would replace the traditional slates as they would interfere with the mobile signals.
St. Bridget's is a Church in the Church off England Diocese of Sodar & Man.
The Original church dated from around 1200 and was rebuilt and consecrated in 1876 by Bishop Selwyn. The Architect was either Joseph Henry Christian or Ewan Christian.
