On Tuesday 25th October 2022, Eric AD6VT, a radio amateur from Bishop, CA reached the summit of O’Leary Peak – West and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 19 contacts in total working on the 40, 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of O’Leary Peak – West is 2724 metres (8937 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
