On Thursday 15th September 2022, Paul K9PM/P, a radio amateur from Box Elder, SD reached the summit of O’Leary Peak - West and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 77 contacts in total working on the 60, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of O’Leary Peak - West Is 2332 metres (7651 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
