Vassijaure

Vassijaure is a railway station (junction signature Vj) along the Ore Railway and road E10, located near the lake of the same name in Kiruna. Vassijaure is Sweden's northernmost station, located a few miles east of Katterjåkk. Katterjåkk first called for Vassijaure and the name Old Vassijaure have been used. Vassijaure Scientific Research Station was until 1910 played in Katterjåkk. Vassijaure station located at the foot of the mountain Vassitjåkka, whose östtopp is 1590 meters above sea level.
