Villisca Ax Murder House

House where the 6 members of the J.B. Moore family and 2 overnight guests, 8 people in total, were brutally massacred in their beds, all by ax, on the night of June 9, 1912. The bodies were discovered on the morning of June 10.

Although a long list of suspects was run through at the time of the investigation, no conviction was ever made.

The house is haunted by the spirits of the people who were killed there to this day. It was profiled in 2010 on the paranormal investigation show, Ghost Adventures.
