Andy Katzenmoyer was a ferocious and highly decorated linebacker out of Westerville, Ohio. In high school Andy earned USA Today High School All-American (1995) and the Mr. Football Award in Ohio. Katz chose to attend the Ohio State University where he dominated from 1996 to 1998. In his first game he became the first true freshman linebacker to start at Ohio State. Katz earned All-Big Ten honors and Big Ten Freshman of the Year that year. He continued to earn accolades, winning All-Big Ten honors his sophomore year and in 1997 winning the Dick Butkus Award, Jack Lambert Award and consensus All-American honors.

The Big Kat left for the NFL after his junior year and was selected 28th overall by the New England Patriots in the 1999 NFL Draft. The Big Kat was forced to retire early into his pro football career after suffering a neck injury in 2000. In 2002, Andy was released from the Patriots and out of football.

After retiring Andy started Katzenmoyer Performance, a CrossFit fitness facility in Westerville.
