The 2016 music video for Beyonce's song 'Formation' was largely filmed in this Pasadena mansion, despite being set in New Orleans. Much of the front of the mansion had facade work installed in order to make the Beaux Arts style home appear southern gothic, in the style of an old southern plantation house.
Originally built in 1905 for Dr. Adalbert Fenyes and his wife Eva Scott Muse Fenyes, the home has been used in a number of films, including D.W. Griffith's 1912 'The Necklace'.
The home is now part of the Pasadena Museum of History.
*NOTE: The Wikipedia entry incorrectly indicates that the video was filmed in New Orleans. While some shots may be of New Orleans, the majority of the video was filmed in Pasadena and on sound stages.
