Ernest Hemingway (July 21, 1899 – July 2, 1961) was an American author who lived in the home from 1931 to 1939. Hemingway worked on "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" and "The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber," "To Have And Have Not", and the non-fiction work "Green Hills of Africa" at the house.
