Karen Carpenter owned an apartment here at Century Towers at the time of her death in 1983. The Century Towers has been home to many celebrities and notables over the years. Those include Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Burt Lancaster, David Janssen, Jack Benny, Sebastian Siegel, Diana Ross, Edith Flagg and Berry Gordy.
