This area seems kind of built up for this to be a radio telescope; they'd have a hard time isolating it from the surrounding background radio noise.

I visited this radio dish back in 1997
It is used for communication with artificial satellites
There is indeed a row of jets at the entrance lane. I don't know what they are doing there.

Stayed at this facility in 1990 with People to People Science Exchange. Going to create a Facebook Group with photos soon.

And yes, there was a row of MIG Jets there back in 1990 too. We sat in one of them.
