All Saints Church - December 2023

It was reported on Monday 18th December 2023 that plans had been submitted to turn a former church in Douglas into a gym.

The former All Saints Anglican church in Douglas was closed in 2019 and could be converted into a guy if an application for planning permission is approved.

Planning permission will take into account that the church building is on the Isle of Man's Listed Buildings register.

The church opened in April 1967 and has a number of interesting features including the '12 Apostle' windows on the north side of the sanctuary. The windows are thick glass from Gothenburg and are each a different colour.

It is proposed that the baptismal font would become a drinking fountain in the new gym.
