Carlos Dascal was a philanthropist and car delaer.

He emigrated to the U.S. in 1961 from Cuba. Success came early as he built a profitable business designing high-fidelity stereo systems for automobiles and homes.

A second company focused on mobile communications. Both ventures proved profitable allowing Dascal to finance an ambitious undertaking in 1974 - the creation of the Continental National Bank of Miami, the city's first Cuban-American national bank. Dascal's vision was to build a bank serving the growing Cuban population while assisting immigrants realize their financial dreams.
