Doug Flutie is a former NFL, CFL, USFL and Boston College quarterback. He is best known for his small stature (5'9") at the quarterback positon and "the pass". The pass was a Hail Mary touchdown pass against the Miami Hurricanes in on November 23, 1984. Flutie won the 1984 Heisman, three Grey Cups and 6 CFL MVP awards. He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

Flutie was a phenomenal athlete with a great arm and exceptional running ability who just so happened to be shorter than the prototypical quarterback.
