Nitti was one of Al Capone's top henchmen, he was in charge of all strong-arm and 'muscle' operations. Nitti was later the front-man for the Chicago Outfit, the organized crime syndicate headed by Capone.

He committed suicide just a couple of blocks away from his home in 1943.
