The Loggia (Pavilion)– Trentham Gardens

The Loggia (Pavilion)– Trentham Gardens (StreetView)
This Loggia is a preserved Grade II listed structure located in the gardens of the Trentham Estate and is the last surviving loggia at the Gardens.

The loggia with its three bays is very much of the classically garden pavilion style, The bays each have a saucer dome vault and are divided by Romanesque arches.

The Renaissance arches of the exterior have moulded architraves, and freestanding Corinthian columns. Above the arches is a moulded entablature with a disc at the centre of each bay. The whole structure is topped by a deep dentil cornice with finials on the parapet above each column.
