This navigational obelisk is situated on the Hill in King Edward Park in Newcastle, New South Wales.

The Obelisk is a Trig Station with Serial Number: TS3595 and has an elevation of 82 meters asl. It is maintained by the New South Wales Department of Lands.

The Obelisk was built as an aid to maritime navigation in 1850.
