Abiel Abbot Low was a businessman, trader, and philanthropist who made his fortune in teas, silks, and porcelains imported from China aboard his fleet of clipper ships. He was the father of Seth Low, the 92nd mayor of New York City and 23rd mayor of Brooklyn.
Low owned this 17,354 sqft mansion, which dates back to 1857.
