Abner Cloud House

From Mike High's The C&O Canal Companion:

...the Abner Cloud House, one of the oldest buildings along the canal. Cloud built the house in 1801 and used the basement to store grain and flour from his mill, just a few hundred feet upstream, which used water from the original Potowmack Company skirting canal.
