The entrepreneur and film producer and his wife Ellen, daughter of billionaire Charles Bronfman, own this house. They also own the much larger minimalist mansion immediately next door. Hauptman produced "State of Play" and owns the Chicago Fire Soccer Club through the family investment company, Andell Holdings.
The house was designed by Paul R. Williams.
In September 2017, it was reported that the couple put this house on sale together with the one next door they own for $125 million.
