Carmen Thyssen is a Spanish philanthropist, socialite and art dealer & collector. She was married to Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza (grandson of famous German industrialist August Thyssen). An international jet set personality, she was Miss Spain in 1961, was also married to American actor Lex Barker, and is said to have had affairs with Al Pacino and Johnny Hallyday.

The "Villa Favorita" was acquired by the Thyssen family in 1932, it held the world-renowned Thyssen-Bornemisza art collection until 1993. After the death of her husband in 2002, Carmen Thyssen put the estate on the market where it apparently remains until today (contradicting media reports). Her Madrid home is also featured on this site.
