Frances Hashimoto was a Japanese-American businesswoman who was the president and CEO of Mikawaya, a Japanese confectionery company which was founded by her father. Frances was the inventor of Mochi Ice Cream.
Hashimoto died in 2012. The home is still owned by her widow.
