Formerly owned by Francois Pinault, the owner of Kering which operates, among others, Gucci, Puma and Yves Saint Laurent. As of June 2014, Forbes ranked him as the third-richest French person and 12th richest European, worth an estimated $16.3 billion.
He purchased his London residence, known as "West House", in 2011 for £20 million.
His son is married to actress Salma Hayek, who now live in the house.
