Ivica Todorić is the richest Croat and one of the the richest men in the Balkans. He used to own Agrokor, before the 2017 Agrokor debt crisis, a conglomerate that employs 60,000 people, and includes a water bottling business, cooking-oil and margarine factory, the largest supermarket chain in Croatia, Croatia's largest ice-cream and frozen-food manufacturer, the largest newsstand chain in Croatia, and several large companies in the region.

This castle is called Kulmerovi dvori (Kulmer's Castle).

Before Ivica Todorić, the castle was the estate of Count Ferdinand Kulmer.
