Mr. Flaws joined Corning in 1973 and served in a variety of controller and business management positions. He was elected assistant treasurer of Corning in 1993; vice president and controller in 1997 and vice president of finance and treasurer in May 1997.
Corning manufactures glass, insulation and other household products and had revenues of $5.9 billion.
He was paid $6,183,000 in 2009.
