Stella Immanuel is a Cameroon-born, Houston area pediatrician. She obtained her medical degree in Nigeria in the 1980s. She is the founder of Fire Power Ministries, which operates out of this property. On her Facebook page, she has posted videos in which she alleges that demons cause illness, infertility is caused by "sex with spirit husbands", that practicing and celebrating homosexuality will "take you to hell", that vaccines are created using the DNA of aliens, and that the government is run by "reptillians and other aliens".
On 27 JULY 2020, a video of Dr. Immanuel gave a speech as part of a group called America's Frontline Doctors, which was founded just 12 days prior. In the speech, she advocated for the use of hydroxychloroquine as a cure for coronavirus and suggested not wearing a mask to protect against COVID-19 protection.
Video of her speech was shared on Twitter by Donald Trump, his son, Don Jr., and others. Both Facebook and Twitter eventually deleted videos of Immanuel’s speech from their sites, citing rules against COVID-19 disinformation, going as far as suspending Don Jr.'s account for spreading false information. In a response Dr. Immanuel declared that Jesus Christ would destroy Facebook's servers if her videos weren't restored on the platform.
