In the 2008 Will Ferrell movie "Semi-Pro", this arena was used for exterior scenes of the "Flint Fairgrounds Coliseum", the fictional home of the ABA's Flint Tropics. Interior scenes were filmed in Los Angeles.
In real life, this building is home to the Wayne State college hockey team.
