This 3/8 mile stock car racing track was originally a dirt oval track when it was created in 1967. It was paved after the 1988 season. It switched back to a dirt racing surface in 2010.

It appeared in the 2011 movie Footloose as "Cranston Motor Speedway". The film stars Julianne Hough, Kenny Wormald, Dennis Quaid, and Andie MacDowell.
