Philip Seymour Hoffman's Former Home

This apartment building in New York's West Village was the recent home of Academy-Award-Winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman until his death on Sunday February 2, 2014 from an apparent heroin overdose. Hoffman best known for his roles in "The Big Lebowski," "Capote," "Boogie Nights," "Almost Famous" and "Magnolia," had struggled with substance abuse for many years. The sudden death of the Oscar-Winning Actor has caused a reverberation of shock and disbelief from many of his fans.
