William M. Weaver, Jr.'s House (former)

This is the former Easton, CT estate of William Merritt Weaver, Jr. William Weaver was an investment banker from the firm of Alex. Brown and Sons. Alex. Brown & Sons was the first investment bank in the United States, founded by Alexander Brown in 1800 and based in Baltimore, Maryland. The firm was acquired by Bankers Trust in 1997 to form BT Alex. Brown and ultimately integrated into Deutsche Bank following its acquisition in 1999.

Weaver, a limited partner emeritus in the firm of Alex. Brown and Sons, was a varsity runner and jumper at Princeton and has been a long-time supporter of Princeton University's track program. He donated a significant amount of money to have the new stadium, that hosts track and field events, called the "William Weaver Track & Field Stadium" at Princeton University, an ivy-league college in Princeton, NJ.

His home, built in 1938, has 4 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, and 1 half bathroom. The house has 7,103 square feet and sits on 19.34 acres of land. There is also a swimming pool, tennis court, and guest house. The home is currently appraised at $2,164,142. Mr. Weaver passed away in 2003 at the age of 91.
