Edward J. Brown, Jr. is president and COO of Cymer, the leader in developing light sources used by chipmakers worldwide to pattern advanced semiconductor chips, and is pioneering new crystallization tools for the flat panel display industry. Prior to his appointment at Cymer, Brown held several high-level management positions at Applied Materials, the world's largest provider of semiconductor equipment and services. At Applied Materials, Brown was responsible for key business innovations, overseeing global operations, managing business units and enabling significant revenue growth.
