Lap Shun "John" Hui is a serial tech entrepreneur. He founded PC manufacturer eMachines and sold it six years later to Gateway for $266 million. He is also a former owner of Packard Bell and is known for his failed takeover bid of Gateway. His $450 million offer was ultimately rejected.
Hui's wife Pauline Wong is a well-known former Hong Kong film actress.
