Miuccia Prada is regarded as one of the most influential fashion designers and richest women in the world. She is the lead designer of luxury goods and fashion giant Prada, which was founded by her grandfather in 1913. Her husband is Patrizio Bertelli, the CEO of Prada. Their combined net worth is estimated to be $19 billion (Forbes 2013).

She inherited this Milan palazzo from her parents (her mother Luisa ran the company for almost twenty years) and lives here with her family, though they don't occupy the whole building. Other Prada family members as well as politicians are said to live here.
